In Germany, most senior citizens live on their own, not in retirement homes! Friends, family, and various community services help them with their basic needs.
Name the time and place
Time phrases, like am Montag or morgen, go before place phrases, like nach Wien or hier. So remember TP—time before place.
Wir gehen morgen zum Hotel.
We’re going to the hotel tomorrow.
Sie reisen im April nach München.
They’re traveling to Munich in April.
His and hers
Just like other possession words, sein and ihr have different endings depending on the gender of the following noun! And if you know your ein endings, these should be no problem!
Ich mag seinen Bruder, aber ich liebe seine Schwester.
I like his brother, but I love his sister.
Ich liebe ihren Großvater, aber ich mag ihre Tochter nicht.
I love her grandfather, but I don’t like her daughter.
