What have you done?!
To talk about the past, you'll need a form of haben first. Then, the main verb changes a bit and goes to the end!
Ich habe das von dir gelernt.
I learned that from you.
Sie hat jedes Buch in der Bibliothek gelesen.
She read every book in the library.
The past is in the past!
Most past forms of the verb start with ge‑, and end with either ‑t or ‑en.

Watch out for letters changing in the main part!
| schreiben | geschrieben |
| gehen | gegangen |
| finden | gefunden |
And not all verbs add the ge‑:

| informieren | informiert |
Haben oder sein?
When a verb involves motion (like schwimmen) or a change of state (like werden), you use sein instead of haben!
Niemand ist gekommen.
No one came.
Wir sind im Meer geschwommen.
We swam in the ocean.
