We're splitting up

There are some verbs in German that get split up, such as bekanntgeben, anrufen, and vorhaben. The first part runs off to the end of the sentence!

Die Eltern geben den Namen von ihrem Kind bekannt.
The parents announce the name of their child.

Call me up!

Do you have plans yet?
