Dative Prepositions
You’ve seen that when something is indirectly affected by an action, or follows certain verbs like danken, it gets put in the dative case.
Er gibt der Frau einen Apfel.
He gives the woman an apple.
Ich danke der Frau.
I thank the woman.

Well, there are also some words, like with or from, that use dative!

Tricky Meanings
Aus and von can both mean from, but what’s the difference? Use aus for where you were born or grew up, and von for where you just came from!
Ich komme aus Deutschland.
I come from Germany.
