¡Hablemos de los Verbos!
Para hablar de algo que deseas que hubiera ocurrido en el pasado, puedes decir I wish it had happened o if only it had happened.
I wish you had told me that sooner!
If only I hadn’t missed my chance!
Puedes decir cosas como we have been studying para hablar de algo que comenzó en el pasado y todavía sigue sucediendo.
I have been trying to call you since nine!
John has only been living here for a few months.
Para hablar de algo que había estado sucediendo, pero terminó, dirías we had been studying.
She had been living in Mexico until she moved to New York.
They had already been playing for an hour when we joined them.
