Si quieres decir Yo estuve trabajando todo el día en inglés, di solamente I was working all day.
It was raining all day.
Estuvo lloviendo todo el día.
They were talking until midnight last night.
Anoche, ellos estuvieron hablando hasta la medianoche.
Is everybody here?
¡Veamos la palabra everybody! Aunque se refiere a muchas personas, dirías Everybody was laughing y no Everybody were laughing.
Everybody was speaking French.
Todos estaban hablando francés.
Lo mismo aplica para nobody y anybody. Cuando elijas el verbo, usa el mismo que usarías con he, she o it.
Nobody wants the room with the small closet.
Nadie quiere la habitación con el armario pequeño.
Does anybody have a green pen?
¿Alguien tiene un bolígrafo verde?
Don’t hurt yourself!
Para decir ¡No te lastimes! o Ella se cortó, di Don’t hurt yourself! o She cut herself. En inglés, las palabras como myself o yourself siempre se usan después del verbo.
How did he hurt himself?
¿Cómo se lastimó él?
I cut myself while I was making sandwiches.
Me corté mientras estaba haciendo sándwiches.
Debes notar que si mencionas una parte del cuerpo, como en Me lastimé el brazo, en inglés no usas palabras como myself.
I hurt my leg.
Me lastimé la pierna.
She cut her toe.
Ella se cortó el dedo.
