Al llegar a casa, me preparé un café
In English we’d say When I got home, I prepared coffee, but in Spanish you’d say Al llegar a casa, preparé café.
Al llegar al restaurante, yo pedí una copa de vino.
When I got to the restaurant, I ordered a glass of wine.
All you have to do is to add an infinitive after al!
Al entrar al hotel, ¿tú viste a papá?
When you entered the hotel, did you see Dad?
