Let's talk about Past Tense!
Some common verbs are irregular in the preterite.
Poder, saber, and poner have a ‑u in the preterite and share the same endings.
poder, yo pude, ellos pudieron
saber, yo supe, ellos supieron
poner, yo puse, ellos pusieron
The verbs querer, dar, and conducir are also irregular.
querer, yo quise, ellos quisieron
conducir, yo conduje, ellos condujeron
Some ‑ir verbs have vowel changes in the preterite, but only in the él/ella and ellos/ellas forms!
dormir, yo dormí, él durmió, ellos durmieron
sentir, yo sentí, ella sintió, ellas sintieron
