Routine 3

Mais pourquoi ?!
Remember, question words like quand and pourquoi come before est‑ce que!
Pourquoi est‑ce que tu te réveilles tard ?
Why are you waking up late?
Quand est‑ce que vous allez à Paris ?
When are you going to Paris?
In English, we might say Who are you going out with? But in French, avec always comes before qui!
Avec qui est‑ce que tu sors ?
With whom are you going out?
Qui est prêt ?
When not talking about a specific person or thing, French speakers default to using the masculine form of a word. The feminine form is used when talking specifically about feminine things or people.
Qui est prêt ?
Who is ready?
