Help me to do this!
In English, we say I help clean the kitchen, but in French, you'd say J'aide à nettoyer la cuisine.
Il aide à préparer le dîner.
He helps make dinner.
Tu aides à laver les vêtements.
You help wash the clothes.
Elles m'aident à choisir une robe.
They are helping me choose a dress.
Tu m'aides à ranger ?
To be polite in English, we often use can or should, like in Can you give that to me? or Should I help with dinner? In French, you can just state your request or offer as a question.
Je prépare le dessert ?
Should I prepare the dessert?
Tu mets des assiettes sur la table ?
Can you put plates on the table?
Le train part dans une heure !
Je t'appelle by itself can mean I'm calling you right now. But if you add a word like demain, it means I will call you!
On mange ensemble demain ?
Will we eat together tomorrow?
On se voit la semaine prochaine ?
Will we see each other next week?
