Verbs like partir, sortir, dormir and servir will all have similar endings.

They have the same endings in the passé composé as well!

I left late.
J'ai dormi à l'hôtel.
I slept at the hotel.
Le restaurant sert des pizzas froides !
The restaurant serves cold pizzas!
Should I stay or should I go?
Partir à means to go somewhere, and partir de means to leave from somewhere! And by itself, partir just means to leave.
Nous partons à la gare dans une heure.
We're going to the train station in an hour.
Nous partons de l'hôtel à une heure.
We're leaving the hotel at 1 o'clock.

Un acteur ou une actrice ?
Some occupations in French change form depending on whether the person is male or female.

Some can be either masculine or feminine, though the noun looks the same.

And others don't change at all!
