Wearing Me Out
There are multiple words for to wear in Japanese. You can choose which word to use, based on where the clothing is on your body.
For hats, use かぶります.
帽子をかぶります
(I) wear a hat.
For clothes on your upper body, use きます.
青いシャツを着ます
(I) wear a blue shirt.
And use 履きます for clothes on your lower body!
彼は黒い靴を履きます
He wears black shoes.
Colors
When saying what color something is in Japanese, we need to remember a few things! If the words end in (which actually means color!), like オレンジ, put a between the color and the thing!
ピンク色スカートを履きます。
(I) wear a pink skirt.
If the color comes after the thing it describes, isn’t necessary.
あのシャツは紫色です。
That shirt is purple.
If the color word ends with an , you don’t need the !
黄色いシャツを着ます。
(I) wear a yellow shirt.
彼女の靴は黒いです。
Her shoes are black.
I want it that way!
To say what you want in Japanese, you can use the phrase 欲しいです. Be sure to put a after the thing that you want!
赤い帽子欲しいです

want a red hat.
Put a after something you don’t want!
紫色のシャツ欲くないです

do not want a purple shirt.
