Verbs: Infinitive II
Sentir ou me sentir?
You can use some Portuguese verbs in two ways: with and without me. Adding me makes it all about yourself!
Eu não quero sentir fome.
I do not want to feel hungry.
Eu quero me sentir melhor.
I want to feel better. (Literal: I want to feel me better.)
Did you realize what you did?
The verb realizar looks like to realize, but it actually means to do!
Ela quer realizar o casamento aqui.
She wants to do the wedding here.
Nós temos um trabalho importante a realizar.
We have an important job to do.
Fazer also means to do, but realizar is used in more formal situations!
