De mim para ti
You've already seen that eu becomes me, and tu becomes te, after a verb.
After small words like de or para, eu becomes mim and tu becomes ti.
Ele precisa de mim.
He needs me.
Eu gosto muito de ti.
I like you very much.
Por si só
Here are two useful expressions with si: de si mesmo (or de si mesma) and por si só.
Ela falou de si mesma.
She talked about herself.
Meu histórico fala por si só.
My record speaks for itself.
Vem comigo!
The word com always smooshes together with mim and ti.
Ele não falou comigo.
He did not talk to me.
Quem vai contigo?
Who is going with you?
If you want to say with us, use conosco!
Ele não está conosco.
He is not with us.
