What have you done lately?
To talk about things that have been happening recently, use ter plus a verb ending in ‑do.
Coisas estranhas têm acontecido ultimamente.
Strange things have been happening lately.
Ultimamente nós temos dormido no chão.
Lately we have been sleeping on the floor.​

Some verbs change a bit more after ter, so you need more than just using a ‑do ending. For example, vir gets an extra n and becomes vindo.​
Eles têm vindo aqui frequentemente.
They have been coming here often.​
Here are two other verbs that change a lot: dizer becomes dito, and abrir becomes aberto.​
Eu tenho dito isso aos meus alunos.
I have been saying that to my students.​
Eu tenho aberto a porta todas as manhãs.
​I have been opening the door every morning.​
