Wherever you like!
随便 is tricky to translate but very useful! It’s used to mean however, wherever, or anywhere you like. Check it out!
随便坐!
(Qǐng suíbiàn zuò!) Please sit wherever you like!
我只是随便看看。
(Wǒ zhǐshì suíbiàn kàn kan.) I'm just looking. (literally: I’m looking however I like.)
随便你!
(Suíbiàn nǐ!) It’s up to you! (literally: However you like.)
您 (nín) vs 你 (nǐ)
You may hear (nín, formal you) instead of (nǐ, informal you) in formal settings (for example, when you are greeted in a shop). You can use whether you’re talking to one person or a group of people (no need to add !).
需要帮忙吗?
(Nín xūyào bāngmáng ma?) Do you need help?
想买什么?
(Nín xiǎng mǎi shénme?) What do you want to buy?
