Leaving out 的
For certain nouns, you can leave out (de, show possession) in phrases like (wǒ de, my) and (nǐ de, your). This often happens with close relationships, like family members, or even with institutional relationships, like teachers. Leaving out (de, show possession) doesn’t change the meaning though!

Comparisons
Use (xiàng, like) to say that something is like or the same as another thing. Simply add between the two things, and then say 一样 (yíyàng, same)! ​
今天的天气昨天的一样。​
(Jīntiān de tiānqì xiàng zuótiān de yíyàng.​) Today’s weather is the same as yesterday’s. ​
我哥哥的眼睛我们爸爸的一样。​
(Wǒ gēge de yǎnjīng xiàng wǒmen bàba de yíyàng.)​ My older brother's eyes are like our father's.​
If you want to say as good as or as tall as, put the adjective after 一样. ​
他的中文你的一样。​
(Tā de Zhōngwén xiàng nǐ de yíyàng hǎo.) ​His Chinese is as good as yours.​
