North, East, South, West
To talk about the east side, west side, etc., of a location, add 的东边 (de dōngbian, ‘s east side) after the place. Don’t forget to use 在 (zài, be located) when talking about where something is located!
公园在城市的东边。
(Gōngyuán zài chéngshì de dōngbian.) The park is located in the city's east side.
我住在香港的南边。
(Wǒ zhù zài xiānggǎng de nánbian.) I live on Hong Kong's south side.
他去了德国的西边看朋友。
(Tā qùle déguó de xībian kàn péngyǒu.) He went to Germany's west side to see a friend.
机场在城市的北边。
(Jīchǎng zài chéngshì de běibian.) The airport is located in the city's north side.
